PHILOSOPHY
The great majority of patients suffering with musculoskeletal pain syndromes have no clear diagnosis or explanation for their pain.' Dr. A. Nachemson
'There is so much variability in making a diagnosis that this initial step routinely introduces inaccuracies which are then further confounded with each succeeding step in care. An inaccurate diagnosis is the fundamental source of error.' Quebec Task Force on Activity-Related Spinal Disorders
Currently, this fundamental source of error continues to be the greatest clinical challenge and predictor of poor outcomes. The focus of my clinical practice weighs heavily on a detailed mechanical examination in order to arrive at an accurate diagnosis. Diagnostic accuracy is the essential driver for successful outcomes.
"Every patient contains a truth. The clinician must adopt a conscious humility, not towards the patient, but towards the truth concealed within the patient."
